Jan. 19th, 2005 05:37 pmI did that quiz that everyone on my flist has done, about the Harry Potter alter-ego. And I got my results, and the first two sentences read as follows: Your alter ego is Hermionie Granger. Your one intelligent witch.
AIRasg'iah'g! Maybe this is just me being a grammar Nazi again, but your instead of you're literally makes my fingers clench up. My. ABSOLUTE. BIGGEST. pet peeve. I don't mind the occasional typo, but the person who wrote this quiz made that mistake repeatedly(In ways like "Your not very tolerant of stupidity.") And I hate it.

In other news, I was reading the NYTimes in my email this afternoon, and I saw this blurb:
Freeing Sex Slaves: A Year Later
What has happened to Srey Neth in the year since Nicholas D. Kristof purchased the freedom of the Cambodian prostitute? With an interactive feature.

Also...I've got this friend who I love a lot. But, in her latest post the font was bright, bright blue, and every sentance ended in an exclamation point. Even though she was talking about her dad having surgery, and being really confused about life in general. Does being really annoyed at that make me a bad friend?
