LJ v. MySpace

I'm writing a paper comparing LJ and MySpace. I'm trying to get a handle on some demographics of each. If you could answer some questions for me, I'd really appreciate it.

ETA: The second question should read "Entirely composed of people I've met online." Whoops! Sorry, guys. :\

LJ is basically the extent of my online activity. I have a facebook account that I check on occasion to keep up with college friends and classmates, and my friend has a xanga that I read if I remember, but I am not personally terribly active in either of those forums. If facebook let me post entries and make a cool layout then maybe that would change. But as it is. =; no, thnx.

That's exactly as it is with me, too. I check my facebook randomly when someone from high school lists me as a friend, but that's about it. And a friend of mine has a Xanga that she updates like, once every semester.
