So I went rock climbing today. I know, wtf, right? It gets even more surreal--I fucking loved it and want to go back again and again, despite the fact that I can barely move my arms now. It was a specific sort of climbing called bouldering, which looks like this, aka absolutely insane. It's indoors, but rather than just climbing straight up a wall with a harness, you go without a harness and climb sideways and off the ceiling and upside down and basically just cling to the wall or the ceiling and hope for the best. I was surprisingly good at it for having, among other things, very little physical strength, even less coordination, and startlingly bad luck when physical activity of any sort is involved. This is a picture of some guy climbing in the gym I went to. I actually climbed that exact course. And...that's the easy starter course. Now imagine me doing shit like that ok. Like obviously I couldn't get as far out onto the ceiling because I don't have that kind of body strength, but I was full hanging off the ceiling at a few points during the routines I was trying.

ahhhh i love rock climbing!!!! i haven't been in years but it is SO MUCH FUN. also such a triumphant feeling when you make it to the top. *_*
