June round is taking sign ups now! For anyone who doesn't know or remember, writemore is a writing community. Sign up with a weekly word count which can be anything you like. We've had 100 words a week, we've had 10,000 words a week. People with similar word counts will be on the same team, and members get points for achieving their goals each week, as well as for some other things which you can read about in the official rules/FAQ. The team with the most points at the end of the month wins! Simple and fun, and a great way to keep yourself motivated. Check it out and tell your friends!

You can write anything (not just fic), correct?

I'm kind of interested in signing up, but June is a weird month with vacations and such. Say (hypothetically) I were to sign up, and then be on vacation for two weeks. Could I write more in other weeks to make up for the missing time, or, well, how would one get around that little problem (other than "just not signing up")?

Sorry about being a pain. I know it sounds weird that I would even consider signing up (since if I were to participate I would want to be serious about it), but for most of June I'm totally free, and there's not going to be another month for at least the rest of this year that I would be able to do it.

OK, I talked to rsnurkle, and the compromise we came up with was, if you could write your words ahead of time, we'd still allow them to count. So for the month, you'd still produce the same amount of words, just spaced differently to allow for your travels. Does that make sense?

That makes perfect sense. Thank you for making an exception. I feel like an ass whenever I ask for special exceptions, so I really appreciate this. I'm off to sign up....
