I already do!!!! But you need to tell me things. Like, uhhh, is there REALLY not a stop button, or am I just being dumb and can't find it? Haha.

No, no stop button, but you just press pause at the bottom. If you hold it down for longer, it will turn it off, if you just hit it quickly... it pauses, but if you don't hit play again or go to any other menus, iPod will shut down after a few seconds.

Did that even make SENSE?

And, a tip: if you are going to leave it off for a long time, put it on hold (little button at top), because not only does it prevent it from being pushed and playing by accident, thus eating up battery... it also, in my experience, helps to preserve battery-life in it's own right.
