I'm just glad I've never been in that situation myself, I'm scared of cars and I've never even been in an accident (nor had a close member of my family in one) - touch wood.
As for my brother, He's nine. You should have heard my mum! Unfortunately my brother later insisted on playing a prank on her and I went along with it thinking that, as I'd already called her back to quickly say that we found the right plane, she's realise it was a joke. When I got on the phone I said in a serious voice that there'd been a problem and he was still in Singapore - I think I nearly gave her a heart attack! Of course, I told her straight away it was a joke and felt really sorry - she swore I hadn't said we actually had him though.
And, yes, luckily he got all his stuff back - I had to trail some Airport personnel guy for about 45 mins to get it, though!
