I was reading a fic. And it wasn't very good. And I stopped reading it. And, let me tell you, it felt damn good.

When I read a bad fic, I usually get embarrassed for not only the person writing it, but the characters themselves. Usually I get embarrassed enough for everyone involved that I stop reading it pretty quickly.

Yeah. And this fic? I mean, it was like, going down a ticky-list of my biggest turnoffs. For one, it was het, and I was only reading it because it had been rec'd. For two, there was perfect sex--complete with simultaneous orgasms--with two virgins. For three, immediatly after above mentioned perfect sex, the two were convinced they were utterly in love, would die for each other, etc. For four, the boy asked her to marry him like, four weeks after they "fell in love". Gah. When he proposed, I hit the x.

Yup. Hah. I really felt good though, coz I was reading it on a rec so I felt obligated, and then I was like, screw this shit! and felt all empowered and whatnot.
