Dec. 25th, 2007 01:37 pmI've always liked Christmas. Warm and happy, getting along with family, good things under the tree. The morning got off to kind of a rocky start but ended well. My gifts were fairly boring (pajamas, socks, gloves, a set of nice pens, an electric toothbrush, etc), but things I'd asked for and needed, so no complaints. Now my immediate family and I are bumming around the house waiting for the rest of the relatives to come over. We'll exchange gifts with them and then have a nice meal. We always do a real low key and stress free Christmas, which I think I enjoy more than I would some huge ordeal. My family gets along well and it's always nice to see my relatives. I know that could easily not be the case, and I'm thankful that it is.
Church last night was really nice as well. Just a really good, meaningful service without descending into trite or sap. We always sing Silent Night by candle light at the end, and I particularly liked opening my hymnal and seeing the wax dripped on the page from some other candle holding, silent night singing person who'd sat in this same seat who knows how many years ago.
So yeah, Merry Christmas, everybody. Hope all is well with you and yours. ♥♥♥
