Jun. 27th, 2006 01:17 pmWell, gee whiz. I had been quickly skimming the flist, and I saw a lot of people mentioning some love meme, and I was all "..." But then, I got an email suggesting that I look here. Imagine my surprise when I clicked the link and found all sorts of sweet and fabulous people warming my heart. Y'all rock. :DD
In other news, I have gotten quite a tan here in my pool-lying exploits. Well, not actually that much of one, but, I was pretty white to begin with, so it's a step up. I also pierced my ears!
I've been entertaining myself by watching hours and hours of World Cup matches, which has even me a little surprised, and my parents absolutely flummoxed. But it's been very entertaining. I'm rooting for France (And wow, I can't wait to watch France and Spain this afternoon! *glee*), but I'll take Italy, too.
I had a nice long chat with Brent Hartinger yesterday--I had made a friend, and she had scheduled a meeting with him, so she took me along, which I was totally cool with. We grabbed a table in the food court and just sat and talked for more than an hour. :)
I've also been talking to David Levithan (you remember David Levithan?) quite a lot. I have been trying to be intelligent and coherent, but have mostly gotten quiet around him (How's that tee shirt go? It's better to keep your mouth shut and look dumb than open it and remove all doubt? Heh). He does know me on sight and makes a point to come talk to me, though. Hee. It's so lame, though! People I don't know, I can be all kinds of charming around. I can be intelligent and a good conversationalist and just generally charming. But when there are people that I really do want to impress around, I just freeze up and shut down. Boo.
OK. That's about all I've got right now. How're things, flist? Talk to me.
